A $10 Makeup Look: Smokey Taupe, Brown and Violet Eyes with Lilac Lips - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Here'southward a total face — eyes and lips — for $8.91
How low tin can yous go? (Sing information technology!) How lo-oh can you lot go? Okay, then I had a lot of fun last calendar week trying to put together a makeup expect for less than $10, and I remember I did an okay task. The whole shebang came to a whopping $9.85, but I think I tin can do better. 🙂
I gave information technology some other go, this fourth dimension shooting for something ane) cheaper and 2) more dramatic. I paired smokey taupe/brownish/violet optics with lilac lips. Once more, the products are all from N.Y.C New York Color because, obvs, they're really inexpensive, cruelty-free, and altogether not half bad.
NYC New York Color products from bottom to top: Ultra Terminal Lipstick in Lilac Dream ($i.89), Brow/Eye Liner Pencil in Jet Blackness ($1.fourteen), Metro Quartet Eye Shadow in Chelsea Chichi ($3.99). Also used in this look merely not pictured: NYC New York Color Lengthening Mascara in Jet Black ($1.89)
Since the eyes AND lips are pretty colorful in this await, I kept the cheeks bare (don't want to overwhelm passers by, LOL!), but a nice chroma probably wouldn't have hurt.
If y'all decide to give something similar this a endeavor but feel that the lilac lips are way too much, you could bandy 'em out for something a little quieter, similar perchance a light peach gloss (maybe the $vi Sally Hansen Diamond 12-Hour Lip Treatment in Flawless?).
Here's how I did this $8.91 wait featuring smokey taupe, chocolate-brown and violet optics with lilac lips
Kickoff, the optics. Start by applying N.Y.C. New York Color Brow/Eye Liner Pencil in Jet Black ($1.14) on the lids and the crease as an eyeshadow base of operations. Use a finger or a brush to smooth out the edges before patting the shimmery mauve eyeshadow from the Metro Quartet Center Shadow in Chelsea Chic ($three.99) on the hat.
Sweep the shimmery brown shadow into the crease, and then utilize the violet shadow to the forehead bone. Line both the upper and lower waterlines with the Jet Black liner to further define the eyes. Then, smoke out (heh!) the look by lining the lower lash line with the brownish shadow, and layer the taupe directly on acme for an irised outcome.
Finish the eyes by adding two coats of N.Y.C. New York Color Lengthening Mascara in Jet Black ($i.89) on your lashes, and and then frame the unabridged center look by filling in your brows with the very aforementioned pencil.
The lips are a lot easier (yea!). Hither I applied creamy purple N.Y.C. New York Color Ultra Terminal Lipstick in Lilac Dream directly from the tube.
Swatches from left: shimmery blue shade, shimmery chocolate-brown, shimmery violet and shimmery taupe from Chelsea Chic; Brow/Eye Liner Pencil in Jet Blackness, Ultra Terminal Lipstick in Lilac Dream
NYC New York Color Ultra Last Lipstick in Lilac Dream
NYC New York Color Metro Quartet Middle Shadow in Chelsea Chic, Brow/Centre Liner Pencil in Jet Blackness and Lengthening Mascara in Jet Black
Practice you think I should try to see if I can exercise another wait for even less? The showtime one was $9.85. This one was $viii.91! 🙂 I wonder if a cute sub-$7 look with makeup for eyes, lips and cheeks is possible (something tells me information technology is)…

Karen
